ネイティブのテクニカルライターに教えてもらった技術英語にふさわしい表現を列挙しておきます。

約　about　-->　approximately

次に　after that  -->  subsequently

確実に　certainly  -->　with certainty

多数の　a lot of 　-->　a large number of

多量の   a lot of  -->   a large  amount (quanttity) of

ほとんど～しない　hardly, rarely   -->  not essentially

～の制御のもとに   under control of  --> (as) controlled by

種類　kind  -->  type

左側に記載の言葉は、口語的であったり、子供っぽい印象を与えたりする、という理由から　-->　の右の言葉を用いて書くようにしています。
